Original or Reconed 416?

All the 416-8B's I have seen had the 21184-4 cone number..Never seen a 21183 on a 416-8B. IIRC It was a different woofer..

I'll have to sift thru some discs, i'm almost positive that the 416-8B's in my 846B valencias had 21183 on the cones, been a long long time. But, i have a pic somewhere showing the broken tinsel lead that helped me get them for a song, the cone number is in the background. I'll do some searching later.

I know the 21184-x was present on the 15 inch variant of the 416s I had, and the 515B and 604E, plus my 416-8Bs are 21184-4. Maybe Bowtie yours were 21184-3? My E's have 21184-2.
Then again, Altec did weird things....., as we all know!
